PIG PETITION – LAST CHANCE TO SIGN

On Monday 24 March 2014, we will be handing our bulging pig petition to EU Agriculture Ministers when they meet in Brussels, Belgium. Already a massive 380,000 people have signed the petition, making it Compassion’s fastest ever growing petition.

The petition will close at 12pm GMT on Friday 21st March. This is your last chance to sign the petition calling for Europe’s Agriculture Ministers to stand up for Europe’s pigs.

As part of the final push for signatures, Hope, our giant inflatable pig, is travelling around Europe to once again bring our message to the public and media: the Pigs Directive must be properly enforced.

On 24th March, Hope will finish her tour with an event in Brussels to attract yet more public, media and political attention. Here, we will deliver our bulging, 380,000 signature pig petition to Europe’s Agriculture Ministers. With this level of support, those in power cannot ignore our calls for the Pigs Directive to be properly enforced.
