I am thrilled at the Organic Apple selection-- 4 different varieties and all very affordable.. even the fancy schmancy Honeycrisp at their price point wind up being 2.72 a pound-- a STEAL for Honeycrisp Apples, not to mention ORGANIC Honeycrisp Apples.. Can you tell I am excited? I am because non-organic apples are a deal breaker for my family. We just dont eat them. Conventionally grown apples can have over 45 different pesticides on them per a recent study of USDA analysis by the Environmental Working Group. Holy crap. 45 different pesticides?! I can't feed that to my child. I can't take that chance. With the advent of the Age of GMOs has come the ever increasing allowable limits on pesticides and in the last 20 years the collective IQ of Americans has fallen 7 points.

I am keeping the pressure on about the organics and needing fruit selections and you can too. On each trip to Costco, I visit the member suggestion table across from the soda fountain. You can request items, ask questions, and thank Costco for increasing the number of Organics and GMO-free options. Please remember to thank them, the NONGMO verified items and organics they carry are increasing in frozen and dry goods. But the options and choice in fresh fruits is abysmal.
